How to make article writing as easy as abc

Writing and submitting articles is without doubt one of the most successful methods of driving targeted visitors to your website, growing your rankings and improving sales.

However, for most people article writing is a tough task as it brings back long gone often unpleasant memories of writing high school reports or university essays.

The good news is that by learning just a few easy moves, writing your own articles isn't as hard as it may first look.

One of the major obstacles most new writers face is finding ideas to write about. Often the simplest way to begin is to write about things you have, are interested in or enthusiastic about.

Once you have decided on a broad theme, a good way to narrow the topic down is to concentrate on the problems that people face. In general, people read articles because they want to be entertained or they are seeking a solution to a problem they face.

Writing interesting articles is an exacting and more complicated skill. However, writing informative articles that provide answers can be as easy as sharing tips that you have learned.

You may already know the universal problems that people have in your specific topic, but if not, a good way to find out is to frequently search related online forums and note the most common questions being asked.

If you don't have all the solutions, carry out some research to find the information you need. Frequently the answers are easily available by simply searching the major search engines.

Most people don't like to read huge documents online, so your article should be between 500 - 800 words. If you feel this is far too many words, then a simple trick is to split the article into smaller sections, such as an introduction,

a small number of sub-headings and a conclusion.

All you need to do then is to write about 50 words in each sub-section and before you realize it, you have written a comprehensive and informative article.

Most significantly, don't forget to add an "about the author" section where you can put details about how your readers can join your list or visit your website for further information about your topic.

The first draft should be for your eyes alone. Don't try to produce a finished copy as you write. It tends to be much faster to get your thoughts written down and come back to tidy up later.

The last step in the writing process is to proofread your article making sure that the writing flows and would be fascinating to the reader. Ask yourself, 'does the article supply answers the prospective reader is looking for?'

It can also be useful to have somebody else proofread the article. This is also the time to eliminate spelling and grammatical errors.

Once you have written your article, submit it to article directories. As your article gets published on other websites you will start to receive one-way links pointing back to your site. This will then help you to gain higher

rankings in the search engines, which will only help to direct even more traffic to your site.

Yes it does take time and effort to write articles, but doing so is the easiest and most valuable way of branding yourself, as well as driving limitless traffic to your website so you can build your list and increase your income. And isn't that what writing useful informative articles is all about?

Spanish property the facts you need to know

Buying property has all of its attendant headaches. There are so many negotiations, legal issues, volatile market prices, mortgages and real estate agencies that you have to contend with and negotiate that it would most likely overwhelm you. Now imagine buying property in another country and what was already big headache is further complicated by other factors. Aside from the usual difficulties you now have to contend with language differences, different market practices as well as unique tax burdens. It is a wonder at all that people still want to buy properties in other countries.

But if the property you will buy is exquisitely beautiful, just like the available properties in Spain, then everything is worth it. What’s more, buying Spanish property is not as difficult as in other countries, making the already alluring prospect actually realistic.

According to a recently held survey by Barclays Bank, up to 4.4 million Britons are willing to buy Spanish property. With Spain’s very strong consumer protection laws as well as safeguards imposed on its property industry, more and more buyers are being assured that investing in a Spanish property is a good, hassle-free decision. And despite negative media coverage on some property-related problems in Spain, an overwhelming 92 percent of families are still considering buying Spanish property. These are sure signs of the consumers’ confidence for Spain’s property industry.

The imposition of many buyer-friendly measures is having positive effects on the Spanish property selling environment. One prominent measure that has boosted buyer confidence is a guarantee provided by Spanish developers that a buyer’s deposit for offplan houses can be refunded if the developers do not take delivery. Another positive measure is that all defects are insured for ten years. These are all incorporated into the latest consumer protection laws.

Of course, even if the environment for buying Spanish property is steadily growing more and more ideal for overseas buyers, there are still some pitfalls that must be considered. The most common problem that buyers of Spanish property face is overpricing. It is not uncommon to hear buyers complaining that a bungalow that they have set their sights on is priced like a palacio. When faced with this dilemma, buyers are advised to become more like sleuths and not like buyers. It is always a good idea to do research first and look around so that they can have a feel for the prevailing market conditions and prices.

It is also a good move to hire a reputable real estate agent in Spain who will help you look for, and negotiate with, sellers for the Spanish property you are eyeing, Real estate agents would have a good idea of the fair market price for various Spanish property. The added benefit of hiring a real estate agent is that you won’t have to worry about the language barrier anymore. Your real estate agent will handle all of the negotiations and most of the paperwork and make ownership of your Spanish property hassle-free.

La merc╨т festival of barcelona

Towards the end of September Barcelona begins to limber up for the largest event on its festival calendar, La Mercй, a celebration of the city’s patron saint “Mare de Deu de la Mercй”. The festival heralds the end of summer and the onset of the autumn months. The festival is a real big deal for the people of Barcelona and the still temperate weather means that, in true Mediterranean fashion, must of the fun takes place outside. There’s a massive amount to do whilst the festival is on with events popping up all over the city and over 3000 artists and performers on display with over 500 activities to watch or take part in. The festival has a long and proud and first took place in 1902; today it’s a fantastic blend of tradition and innovation.

You’d really need to write a novel to keep on top of everything that goes on at La Mercй each year so, we’ll just have to settle for some highlights. We start with one of the oldest traditions; the human towers or “Castells” are a real must-see, sometimes as much as ten stories high they’re a fantastic display of teamwork, agility and balance.

A recurring theme throughout the festival is the celebration of fire and one of the most exhilarating experiences of La Mercй is the “Correfoc” (the “Fire Run”) where costumed fire-breathing devils rampage around the streets in a colourful pyrotechnic display. Kids absolutely love this sort of thing and audience participation is a big part as the devils chase after those foolish enough to get in their way. Another favourite of the children is the “Dragons and Giants” procession which starts in the Plaza Real next to Las Ramblas.

Foodies and wine lovers shouldn’t feel left out either as there is no shortage of indulgence in those areas. Food and wine shows run throughout the festival showcasing local produce and allow you to try and buy the best that Catalonia has to offer.

Festivities aren’t just kept on the ground either, La Mercй also celebrates the sky with static hot air balloon flights, kite displays and other aerial exhibitions taking place throughout the festival on the city’s beaches. Other areas around the city to look out for are the Centro de Cultura Contemperanea de Barcelona where you can view street theatre, Moll de la Fusta which will be giving centre stage to numerous circus acts and Plaza St Rei where various dance troupes and performing artists will be vying for your attention. There’s also a museum open day where many of the city’s museums and galleries can be entered free of charge including the Picasso museum, the Museum of History of Catalonia, the Maritime Museum and many more.

The culmination of the festivities is called “Piromusica”l – the finale involves music and a huge fireworks display choreographed together for an amazing audio-visual experience. A big named music star is usually brought in to play the finale and 2005 saw local singer and composer Pep Sala having the honour of closing out La Mercй.

For tourists La Mercй offers a perfect opportunity to see Barcelona at its best – it’s a colourful, vibrant spectacle which offers something for all age groups and all tastes. It also offers visitors the perfect opportunity to see more of this wonderful city.

7 keys to a successful internet business

Have you ever thought about starting an internet business? It could really be as simple as opening a Yahoo Store, or on the other end of the scale, as complicated as building your own, professional, dynamic, e-commerce website. Regardless of your approach to internet business, to ensure the success of your business, you need to know of, and apply the following 7 key points.

1) Demand--

Lets say for instance, that you have a really amazing product, and a website that looks like a million dollars--but what if you have no demand for your product? In saying that, you aren't going to be left with a sword in a gun fight. In the online world, there are many ways to advertise and generate demand for your product. There are the choices and possibilities of advertising in Ezines, joint ventures, affiliate programs, referrals, and even as simple as encouraging word of mouth. Remember, without demand, what do you have? No sales. Where does a business without sales end up?

2) Order--

Its all well and good to have visitors to your website, but they don't do anything for us unless they become a customer. However, its not as easy as it first appears. Now, once your visitor has turned into a customer, you need to ensure that them becoming an actual customer, is as easy as possible. A straightforward and simple ordering process will do wonders for your business. Less clicks and less time it takes for a customer to complete his or her order, the better it is.

3) Payment--

If there was any part of your business that you would not want to get wrong, it would be this--how payment is actually being transferred between you and your customers. Generally, when taking into account online businesses, the most popular method is credit card transactions. Not only are they an easier and quicker method than most other forms of payment, but it also goes to a psychological level. Credit Cards exude a "buy-now, think-later" attitude. Taking this into account, as a business, you'd be making more profit and sales if you accepted credit cards. However, in saying that, it would also be a wise decision to use alternative methods of payment. After all, the easier it is for your customer to find ways to pay you for your product, you'll see a more efficient increase both in sales and customer numbers.

4) Fulfillment--

Now payment has been received from your customer, the path isn't clear just yet. This is a mistake often made by new businesses. Your products need to be delivered, remember! Generally, if you sell digital products, the industry standard is for the product to be delivered instantly; generally through a download link. Your customer expects this, so ensure this is in place. Physical products require more attention to detail; namely physical delivery. Ensure that your customer is informed every step of the way. Communication is essential. If at all possible, send your customer a means of tracking the product through the course of its delivery. Feeling insecure is something your customer should never have to experience.

5) Service and Support--

A good and trusted business will always endevour to provide and utilise excellent customer service support. To a decent extent, your online business customer support will determine whether or not you get repeat purchases, or if your customer requests a refund. The support abilities of your internet business should be efficient as possible; after all, this is the industry standard. At the least, a well-structured and timely e-mail support service should be available to the customer. The more professional your online business becomes, so should your support methods. More advanced methods such as utilising online helpdesks, FAQs, live chats, a ticket system, a knowledge base, will help greatly; these are just examples, there are more support methods out there which you can use.

6) Security--

The internet business world is filled with people who are honest, trustworthy, and are willing to do everything to help the customer. But, on the other hand, the opposite is also very true. And as such, the internet community at large are getting more aware of ways to protect themselves from the internets less desirable people and activities. Namely, E-commerce frauds.

Because of this, it is upto you and your business to ensure that your visitors are protected, and to prove to them that they can trust you. Simple things, such as using a secured server to process your payments, can help more than is seen on the surface. A digital certificate can also help your business, so purchase one if you can. Physical mailing addresses, and even a phone number where your customers can contact you. Whatever you can do to provide your customers with some piece of mind.

7) Community--

Your online business has begun to flourish, and you have now received more than just a few sales--by now you should be thinking about starting a community. A community in any sense is about belonging to something; in this case its no different. Use your customers as a community development team for your product. Use their suggestions and comments to develop and change your product(s). Not only is this an excellent way to increase product ideas for your business, but with every new product release or update, you'll see an increase in sales ratios, and you will also have built a loyal customer base.

Well there you have it! Utilising and practising these 7 keys will not only help your online business grow and flourish, but will also ensure your customers are happy, too!

Negative energy - how to avoid it

:
Where does negative energy come from? Some of it is from the other people we spend time with. Don't we all know people who just suck away our energy? However, it also comes from our own thinking habits. Here are some examples of both sources of negativity and what you can do about them.

Negative Energy People

Perhaps you have a friend who needs to challenge everything you say. Some people you know may point out the negative aspects of everything. Then there are those who are just plain depressed and who seem to want the world to join them.

What can you do about these "negative energy people"? First recognize that it isn't always just that person. It is often the way you interact with that person. For example, a critical person can be a useful person if critical analysis is what you need at that moment. However, such a person may drain your energy if you waste your time defending yourself from their petty and unnecessary comments. Ignore them or ask the person to stop!

There are other ways to change the negative energy between you and another. One way is to talk about something you both have a common interest in. This can dissolve the negativity, unless it is a very depressing topic. Another simple technique is to ask negative people for some good news. Get them to tell you about anything that is going well in their lives. It's hard to maintain negative feelings when talking about something good. This one really does work most of the time.

If the above ways don't work, or if the person is just always depressing, the solution is simple, but not necessarily easy - spend less time with that person. You have to spend some time with unpleasant people, of course. They could even be people you love. However, you have no obligation to take part in their negative thinking, and you can reduce your exposure.

Negative Energy From Our Thinking

At times, don't we all produce our own share of negative energy? It comes from primarily one place - our thoughts. You may have heard the saying, "change your thinking, change your life." Don't believe it? Start to imagine all the things you need to do and all the things that could go wrong in your future, and see if you aren't feeling more stressed. The lesson here is obvious: Drop your negative thinking.

It is a simple, but not always an easy solution. Start by watching your mind. When does it indulge in negativity, and what triggers it? What can you change to trigger it less or discourage it? You don't want to ignore problems that you need to pay attention to, but how often do you do the same five minutes of thinking about a problem fifty times over? Just do what you need to do and drop it!

The flip side of negative thoughts is positive ones. This doesn't mean you need to be overly optimistic. You can change your state of mind by simply recognizing of all the good things you already have in your life. Continually thinking about the advantages you have, the good things about your character, and the wonderful things you have seen and are seeing, makes it difficult to feel very negative.

Start doing what you have to. For example, if it's difficult for you to remember to think positively, write a list of the things you are grateful for. Then put it in your pocket and pull it out and read it from time to time. Maybe you can experiment with affirmations. Start watching for things that are going right in your life and pay attention to those. Positive and negative energy come from where you aim your mind. Why not choose better places?

Pros and cons of using real wood flooring

Due to the wide selection of flooring materials in the market today, choosing the perfect flooring material for your home or office need not be difficult. The more popular choices in the market are wood flooring, tiles, and vinyl; and additional choices are available in each type of flooring material. Wood flooring can include birch, teak, or maple. Tiles can be ceramic, stone, or marble; and vinyl flooring can either come in tiles or sheets. The choices for flooring materials are truly enormous, and your only limitation could be your choices and tastes, budget, and the requirements of your family or office.

Using wood flooring has bigger advantages than the other flooring materials. Its simplicity can instantly add beauty to your home. Wood flooring makes your home attractive, and provides a traditional, warm, and homely touch. It looks elegant, and its neutral color and style makes decorating easier. Wood is very easy to complement and decorate around. Whether your style is rustic country or contemporary, wood will suit your decorations and furnishings. Use wood flooring in your living room and the area looks cozy, inviting, and pleasant. Use it on bedrooms and they simply feel relaxed, romantic, and dreamy. Given the proper care and maintenance, wood flooring is also very durable and is said to last a lifetime.

Wood flooring can be installed easily. Today, manufacturers have developed installation systems that consumers can easily use to install by themselves in their homes at their own time and pace. More and more do-it-yourself (DIY) kits and packages get introduced in the market today and these are excellent alternatives for people who are interested in DIY projects. It also lessens the hassle of finding professional help to install wood flooring, not to mention the high costs that these people charge.

Maintaining wood flooring is also very easy. Dirt can be easily wiped away with a soft, damp, rug; and cleaning solutions specific for wood flooring are widely available for more serious problems such as oil spills or wax drips. Scratches and cuts can be sanded out from time to time, so the floors will achieve the same look as they were when they were installed. Extending the life of your wood flooring is fairly easy too. Avoid water spills as wood tends to warp when they get wet. Wipe spills right away so they do not stain the wood. Protect wood flooring from the damages of sunlight, too, as light can make the wood fade and lose their original luster. Also, place rugs and carpets in high traffic areas of your home to minimize scratches and scuffs.

Wood flooring has big advantages, but it can also prove to be disadvantageous to others. Wood is difficult to maintain in regions where the air humidity is high because wood flooring responds quickly to changes in relative humidity. They will either expand or contract, causing breakage and cracks. Wood flooring is also impractical to use in areas such as kitchens because these areas tend to get wet and messy, especially if the wood is unfinished. If there are children in the house, wood flooring is prone to more serious damages such as stains, scratches, cuts, and scuffs. Wood flooring is also prone to damages brought by furniture. For others, periodic resanding may pose as another difficulty, for they are not trained for the task.

Wood flooring, like other flooring materials, has its share of pros and cons. But choosing and using wood is good for the environment. It is sustainable, recyclable, and it can simply outlast the lifespan of other flooring materials.

Launch your site before it is finished

Launch your site, before it is finished.

When you launch a site, you face three major problems: The search engines don't know you, the users don't know you and you might not have any meaningful amount of content. These problems can cost you time, before your site starts to pay off.

Three solutions to hit the ground running on launch day.

Waiting for the search engines

Telling “Google” your new web-address is only getting you a spot in its sandbox. The sandbox is like a queue. You line up until your have gotten to the front-gate. Only if you are passed it, will your site be spidered. Word on the web is that this takes 6 months - regardless of how fancy your submission technique is. There are of course other search-engines who process you faster. But can you afford not to be found in “Google”?

Once your domain is listed, they need to be found by their spiders and ultimately by the user. Although your DNS entry should cascade very fast around the globe, there are bottlenecks. It can happen that you wait for the update a couple of weeks - regardless of your TTL-definition. Nearly unbelievable, but it happens. You should get a very wide dissemination within a few days, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

Getting the users to the launch

Every web page is made for its visitors. If you don't get them, all your efforts and money spent have been in vain. Unless you have a substantial marketing-budget for your launch, it takes time for users to reach your site, to tell other people, to list it or to write about it in blogs. The shorter the time you need to reach that critical mass of users, the sooner your site pays off. Also you will quicker get to the point when it is really fun to look at your web-stats.

Welcome to our empty pages

Users will not repeatedly visit your site just because it is nicely designed and structured. You need enough content already on launch-day to have something interesting for most of your visitors. Any “coming soon” on a fully operational site is very likely to be a frustration to the user. A database of 2 articles does not inspire confidence. It is like peeking into an empty restaurant on a Saturday night - you might think twice about even looking at the menu.

Waiting for the search engines, having very few users visiting your site and not offering any content will unlikely result in a good start.

“Under Construction” revisited

What was considered very bad form some years ago, might just be one way of solving the problems. When development work begins, you need to set up a page or a mini-site. When search engines are visiting they have a place to go. At the same time it solves the DNS update delay you might encounter from some backbones.

Unlike the classic “shovel and hard-hat” logo, even this simple page or site needs an identity and content. It will be visited and looked at by your potential costumers. Have you noticed how real-world construction-sites start to be tidy and nicely wrapped up - sometimes even following corporate design guidelines. Many people are walking past construction-sites - and they just might link the image of the company to the piles of bricks carelessly lying about. Sometimes you even find a little description what the new store will look like, offer and when it will be opened - a smart move.

The visual design can be much reduced, but still should convey the appropriate message. Have your designer create a layout, using your corporate identity or claims. The visitor, even the search-engine, should know on an emotional as well as a factual level what will be up and coming.

The best thing would be to have some content available. Put up an article every week for example, a review, a recipe or whatever content is related to your site. This shows search-engines that something is happening; boosts your placement and the visitor sees some activity. And you will already have some content ready for the day your site goes really life.

Getting the users to the launch

There is no other way but to directly address them. Most effective is some meaningful content, not simply a note that your site will start in three weeks time.

The indirect approach might work best. If you receive an email by someone you know or someone who has a positive reputation, it is likely to be read. Find some opinion-leaders related to your products or services. Maybe you can get this person to write content and distribute it to the community while linking to your site? You could organize an event together or simply ask for input - they might just have this great idea that you can use to make your site known before it is even fully life. Blogs are often published by “opinion leader” and you can find them as strong voices in forums.

The goal is to increase you link-popularity, get email-addresses and get access to a network of people who can avalanche information from your site to their communities.

Having Content

It is not likely to have on launch-day the same amount of content like a site that is already up for five years. But usually you only have one chance to interest and satisfy a fist-time user. One key element here is having content available. Empty article-listing or three reviews are simply not enough to interest me to delve into the site. If you would launch a print-magazine, you would also have every page filled with the best content available - the same applies to the new site.

Another advantage is that search engines love content - especially if it changes. If you have a reasonable turnover, your chances for a good ranking are high.

If you can't create content in-house, articles and reviews are relatively easy to get. You can either peruse article directories or collaborate with blogs. The quality of the content reflects on your site. Editorial-work and selection is essential.

A word of caution; It is easy to republish what is already out on the web. But original content is still best. Since you cater to the interests of your prospective visitors, the article you re-use was likely to have appeared on a site similar in target to your own. Quality over quantity is still what counts.

Launching a site starts well before you put it online. A well prepared launch will let you hit the ground running and might save months in getting the visitors you need.

Sweden travel - stockholm and karlskrona

Known as the land of Vikings, Sweden is actually an odd mix of cosmopolitan cities and vast stretches of wide-open spaces. For budget travelers, Sweden is a bit expensive.

Stockholm

An incredibly beautiful city in the summer, Stockholm is the Venice of Northern Europe. Like Venice, Stockholm is built on the water with canals and waterways criss crossing the city. Instead of marshland, Stockholm is actually a collection of dozens if not hundreds of little islands.

Despite the beauty, Stockholm can seem a bet sterile for a big city. Large parts of the city seem to be devoted completely to either providing working spaces or residences. With a little digging, however, you’ll find the city has much to offer.

To get a taste of the real Stockholm, throw away your travel guide and head to the Sodermalm area. Sodermalm predates the modern areas of the city and provides a glimpse into the past. In the neighborhood, you’ll find authentic old pubs, hole in the wall shops selling all manner of strange things and artist enclaves. During the summer, Sodermalm has plenty of outdoor cafes and a friendly feel.

Karlskrona

If naval history is your thing, Karlskrona gives even St. Petersburg a run for the money. The entire city has been designated a historical site and is rife with the naval history of Sweden. Attractions include naval museums, submarines and a variety of ships from differing eras.

While naval history dominates Karlskrona, the city has much more to offer in atmosphere. The older sections of the city have a heavy baroque style whether for architecture, streets or epic park areas. There isn’t anything particular to point out, but it is a good city to relax in during the summer. If you need a couple of days off from racing around Europe, Karlskrona is a good place to recharge.

Like all of the Nordic countries, Sweden is visually stunning during the summer. While the long days give you plenty of opportunity to roam, high prices can put a crimp in the ol’ travel budget.

Basilicata the last undiscovered region of italy

The southern Italian region of Basilicata borders on Campania to the west, Puglia (Apulia) to the east, and Calabria to the south, and has a short coastline on the Tyrrhenian Sea and another on the Gulf of Taranto in the Ionian Sea to the southeast. While it’s not the first place you might think of for a holiday in Italy, the region has a special charm that is slowly being discovered by visitors who are keen to get away from the more touristy parts of Italy.

Basilicata offers stunning arid mountain scenery and inland villages, perched on the hills, where time seems to have stood still. On the coast there are charming villages and seaside resorts such as Lido di Metaponto, with its archaeological relics, Marina di Pisticci, Lido di Scanzano, and Lido di Policoro. Remains of the Roman Era can be seen in Venosa along with medieval art. Basilicata is divided into two provinces: Potenza and Matera.

Matera and the sassi

In Matera, the Ridola National Museum holds Paleolithic relics and ceramics that date back to the Neolithic, Bronze and Iron ages. Just outside the city are distinctive ancient settlements, known as sassi, that have been declared a World Heritage Site. These well–preserved settlements have been cut from rock and include over 100 rock churches from Greek-Byzantine Monastic civilizations. Important sassi include Montescaglioso, with its commanding medieval Abbey of S. Angelo; Miglionico, known for its fine Norman castle;

Irsina, famous for the 12th century Monastery of S. Francesco, its crypt decorated with fine frescoes; Tricarico, with its medieval religious buildings; Pisticci, known for its rows of white houses; and Tursi, set above the Sinni River valley, and the nearby lone church of S. Maria d'Anglona. While there are good hotels in Matera, staying in the rock dwellings is a very different experience, and hotels like Hotel Sant'Angelo, made up of 16 historical dwellings that have been reformed into living areas, include all mod cons. Another accommodation alternative in the old town is one of the many B&Bs where you’ll have a chance to interact with locals and enjoy delicious home cooking.

Potenza, the capital of Basilicata, is of pre-Roman origins, and its Saint Gerard Cathedral was rebuilt at the end of the 1700s. The city’s Provincial Archeological Museum houses an important prehistoric collection, an interesting ethnographic section, and numerous Greek and Roman treasures including the Tempietto and the Statuina di Persefone.

One of Potenza province’s most historic towns, Rivello, set on a strategic ridge that overlooks the Noce Valley and Mount Sirino, has a fascinating mixture of Longobard and Byzantine architecture. Also worth visiting are the Convent of Sant’Antonio da Padova and Santa Barbara’s Church. The Byzantine Church of San Michele dei Greci features a Neapolitan school polyptych dating from 1614.

The Vulture area

In the north of the province of Potenza, fertile soils allow the cultivation of excellent grapes and olives. Here the two beautiful lakes of Monticchio lie within an old volcano, not far from the two castles of Frederick II of Swabia at Castel Lagopesole and Melfi. The Norman S. Lucia Church at Rapolla, Venosa, known for its famous Abbey of the Trinitа, and Acerenza, with its thirteenth-century cathedral, are additional district architectural attractions.

How graphical images enliven web pages

Graphical images definitely help enliven your web pages, if they are used properly. There are basically three types of graphic design images available on the Internet these days. They are the GIF (Graphical Interchange Format), JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) and PNG (Portable Network Graphics).

The GIF graphical design images don’t lose any detail when compressed or decompressed and are thus perfect for hand-drawn art, icons, logos and headlines. The JPEG graphic design images are more efficient than the GIFs for compressing large images but may sometimes lose details when saved and viewed. The PNG graphic design images are a compromise between the GIF and JPEG formats. They are an excellent choice, but are not accepted by the earlier browsers.

There are a few programs that are best used to create web graphical images like Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Fireworks and Jasc Paint Shop Pro. Color plays an important part in graphical presentations. It is always better to use colors that go well together to produce better graphic art images. Moreover, there are also certain colors that should be used in your graphical designs when you want to signify certain moods or themes of the site. Like for dignity, purple is better and for sites related to technology, silver is the best choice.

When creating web pages with graphics, the file size of the graphical design has to be taken into consideration. If the file is too big, it takes a longer time to download, wherein the visitor to your site will just log off to go to some other site! So prepare graphical designs that are reasonably sized - not beyond 300 pixels in width or height. It is always better to avoid background images while building a web page. This is because this slows the downloading, and in most cases, makes the type difficult to read. It is better to have web pages with graphics that are repeated over again as once a graphic is downloaded, it is stored in the visitor’s cache. So the next time the graphical image is used, it loads faster. Moreover, repeating graphic design image as logos, navigation buttons or through banners adds an element of consistency in the site.

When creating a web page with graphical images, you can easily get free graphical images from numerous websites on the Internet. All you have to do is to visit the website, and you can choose some nifty animated graphical images to liven your web pages and even a service to ‘crunch’ your websites’ graphical images to help them load faster.

The right way to write

For centuries writers have been scrawling their thoughts on the backs of envelopes, napkins, and whatever scraps of paper they can find. Many find the medium of paper and pencil more inspiring, despite the fact that we have technical gizmos that don't even require us to literally write any more. Some just need a voice, and they type for you. Regardless, these technical gizmos along with technology in general have allowed writers to produce work much faster than before. As a result, many are not just freelance writers, but they have taken their craft to a whole new level with a small business opportunity idea: writing companies. Those who have successfully begun a writing company begin with only a few tools: a style manual, an internet connection, time, and a market guide.

All writers must have a style manual. The novices will shun them, but the purists understand that without the style manual, they will fail. A great style manual will tell the writer the most up to date changes in punctuation and grammar, so that when he or she submits a written document, an editor will not automatically reject it for poor punctuation. Furthermore, if writers can familiarize themselves with proper punctuation and grammar according to the most recent style manual, they can consult others on writing projects. They can literally bid for projects and produce a quality product technically speaking.

Secondly, writers need an internet connection. Again, a few old-school writers may shun this idea, but an internet connection allows for a variety of things that will make this small business opportunity idea a reality. This connection allows the writer to contact his or her clients much more quickly than just about any other method. Furthermore, an e-mail is less intrusive than a phone call. Clients can respond at will instead of find themselves interrupted in their work with a phone call. The internet connection allows the writer to bid for projects much easier and see those projects through freelance websites.

Third, the writer needs time. Many springboard this small business opportunity idea into reality by using their evenings efficiently. They will make the most of the small minutes in their day by building a company one project at a time. Eventually, their little projects turn into their real job, and they find themselves writing the most satisfying document thus far: a letter of resignation.

Finally, the writer hoping to freelance for money will need a market guide. He or she should always purchase the most up to date market guide. New ones come out annually. The market guide to a writer is like a Bible to a preacher: he needs it to work. A good market guide will have a fee schedule so that a writer knows how much to charge a client for whatever work he is bidding on. It also has tips on how to get published and how to write well.

Writing is more than an art; it's a science. It requires time, discipline, and desire, but those who love to write and understand the vast possibilities of our online world now, can take this small business opportunity idea and run with it. The world is wide upon for someone who knows the right way to write.

Private investor funding-get the money you need to invest now

To support new business especially in real estate, construction, entertainment you need a back up of private investor funding. You also need to have fair to excellent credit score to obtain private investor funding. There are many known names in this business.

An individual who has done well financially and is ready to provide capital for a business is known as an Angel investor. Although Angels are thought of as individuals, the actual entity that provides the funding may be a trust, business, investment fund, etc.

Private investor funding basically lends you money against your private trust deeds, excellent business idea, and liquid rate of the land or business. As long as you have a plan and a proven track record, this is the main thing that these funding institutions look for.

This kind of funding comes with a high risk and therefore they demand a high return on investment. Individuals providing private investor funding have an exit strategy planned so that the original investment bring them more than five times the return in 3 to 5 years. The exit strategy could include IPOs or acquisition.

A private investor funding is done by reviewing the business plan. The funding institute or the individual then have an investment proposal that is both sensible and sufficiently attractive to investors. This funding can be raised by a group of investors as well.

Not just in the US but this type of funding can support new businesses in developing countries too. Venture capital and private investor funding work hand in hand for somebody who is setting up a new business. Companies use these funds to increase its R&D, sales and marketing efforts.

Private investors are now seeking to organize themselves, making a bigger entity than just working individually to receive small gains. Once they pool in their investments and form a network of private investors they can get bigger returns and this idea is very alluring.

The bottom line: even if you don’t have the money right now to invest, you can certainly find the money, whether you have to pool your money with others or obtain private investor funding from an institution. Don’t let a lack of funds hold you back; do your research, formulate a plan, and start investing and getting rich from the market.

Hot tips to prevent hair loss

While Androgenetic Alopecia is the number one reason why individuals experience hair loss, it is not the only one. Medical conditions such as hypothyroidism, ringworm and fungal infections can cause hair loss. Certain medications such as blood thinners, gout medication, birth control pills and too much vitamin A can cause sudden or abnormal hair loss as can following a crash diet, sudden hormonal changes, chemotherapy and radiation. If you are taking prescription medications, talk to your doctor and find out if your medication is contributing to your hair loss.

At any given time 10% of our hair is in what is called a "resting phase" and after 2-3 months resting, hair falls out and new hair grows in its place. Some people, however, experience more hair loss than is normal.

Over here are some excellent resources on how to prevent further hair loss:

Avoid mega-doses of vitamin A. Too much vitamin A can cause your hair to fall out.

Exercise, do yoga, meditate or find some other practice that will help to reduce your anxiety and stress levels. If you wear pigtails, cornrows, use a curling iron, hair dryer or hot rollers, try changing your hair style to one that puts less pressure and stress on your hair and scalp.

If hot oil treatments or chemicals such as those used in permanents are causing inflammation to the scalp, discontinue their use, or reduce the number of times you are using them.

Use gentle shampoos and conditioners to avoid any unnecessary damage to your hair.

In men, herbs such as saw palmetto and licorice root help block the formation of DHT. The same holds true for supplementation with zinc. As an added benefit, studies show that these supplements can also help prevent prostate enlargement.

Massage your scalp with rosemary oil in an olive oil base. Both rosemary oil and massaging the scalp can stimulate the circulation in the scalp and promote hair growth. Again, if you are experiencing hair loss, check with your doctor to ensure that a more serious disorder isn't the cause.

World war ii weaponry

Interestingly enough, two innocuous prunes claim to be accepted as one of the secret weapons of World War II period.

Spink, an auction house in London, is selling two graying prunes that it claims were chosen to be stuffed with documents or other maps to be passed on to prisoners of war secretly. As part of the memorabilia sheltered by a British spy the prunes had been preserved.

According to Emily Jackson, the Spink spokeswoman, the prunes are extremely dry and hard and it is really astonishing that they have survived.

The late Doreen Mulot, a previous member of Special Operations Executive of Britain, which was started to steer operations behind enemy lines, had collected World War II memorabilia such as these a2armory. com/ww2-weapons. html of which the prunes formed a part.

The then British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Hugh Dalton had established the executive to carry on warfare by means other than direct military engagement and it was referred to as ‘the Baker Street Irregulars’ after Sherlock Holmes’ fictional group of spies.

In a telephonic interview Marshall informed that his great-aunt prepared the prunes in a large bathroom of her large house in Hampstead in north London neighborhood.

In water the dried fruits were softened and then de-pitted to allow insertion of carefully rolled documents covered in waxed paper into cavities. Next those were re-dried and packed in Red Cross food parcels for the prisoners who utilized the information to flee away. Quite an ingenious idea it was, Marshall said, but not at all a thing normally connected with fighting when war rages.

Marshall added that she had told him how she along with an associate would be seated over the bathtub that was filled with prunes.

Confirmation came out from the auction house that in any operation these prunes were never used.

Naming your pedigreed dog

Unlike some aspects of dog ownership, naming your dog is just plain fun! The pets themselves don't require much; they just need a pleasing dog name they can identify with when you give them commands. But if you plan to show a purebred dog in competitions, there’s a lot to consider when it's time to choose a dog name for your dog's American Kennel Club certificate. Let's start at the beginning.

The name of the kennel your dog came from is part of his show name. Usually, it's the first part of his name as it appears on the certificate. If you purchased your dog from a show kennel, then the kennel's name should be first, such as: Dexy's Fido. If you bred the dog yourself, then use your own original kennel name. You can also use a combination such as 'Dexy's Fido of (your kennel name here)' so that your dog's name reflects both where he comes from and where he now resides.

Originality is important when choosing a show dog name. The American Kennel Club (AKC) doesn't allow duplicate dog names, and will ask you to choose another name if your pick is already taken.

Unusual dog names with creative spelling attract attention to your dog in a show catalog, while reducing the chance that you've nearly duplicated another dog's name. For example, 'Dexy's Hi-Jac' is a cute play on the word hijack. It's catchy yet original, and offers a great built-in theme for the future if you advertise your dog in breed and show magazines. You could use "He'll hijack your heart" for your ads. Cute, right?

Once you've selected your dog's 'paper name', the work isn’t over. You'll still need to settle on a shorter dog 'call name' for everyday reference. Using our example of Dexy's Hi-Jac, the name Jack immediately suggests itself for the dog's call name, while directly referring us back to his official dog name on the AKC papers.

So, now that you know the basics of dog naming, you're ready to choose a dog name that will serve you well both at home and in the show ring.

Skin care treatment in your refridgerator

When it comes to skin treatment, there are few things more satisfyingly exquisite than a pampering facial. A facial mask can help you relax and rejuvenate at the end of the day, or can mark the transition from a stressful week of work to a weekend full of fun. However, a facial skin treatment at an upscale spa can cost upwards of a hundred dollars, and being worried about the impact on your wallet can take the relaxation right out of a facial. Luckily, it is possible to whip up your own moisturizing facial mask at home with ingredients that you probably have in your kitchen right now. Making your own skin treatment at home can help you get the feeling of upscale luxury without paying top dollar.

The easiest and perhaps most classic skin treatment involves a single, skin nourishing ingredient: pure honey. To open your pores, drape a warm washcloth over your face for about thirty seconds; then apply a thin layer of honey over the surface of your cheeks, chin, forehead, and any other places that could benefit from an additional infusion of revitalizing moisture. Lie down and relax for ten to fifteen minutes while the honey penetrates your skin and replenishes it with moisture; then gently wipe the honey away with lukewarm water and a washcloth. Splash your face with cool water to snap your pores shut, then pat your face dry gently to seal in the moisture. This simple skin treatment lets you put your best face forward, and can help you give an average day a very special feeling.

Oatmeal makes for another simple skin treatment that is ideal for problem skin. If you suffer from breakouts or sometimes have trouble controlling an oily shine, an oatmeal mask can help pull the excess oil from your face without drying out your skin. This mask will gives you with a healthy, matte complexion that is sure to leave you smiling. Simply mix a bit of water into pure rolled oats to create a thick, moist paste. To open your pores before applying the mask, fill a bowl with hot water and lean over it face first, with a towel draped over the back of your head to create a kind of steam tent. For an extra luxurious scent, add a tablespoon of your favorite herb, like peppermint or rosemary, to the water. Breathe deeply for five to ten minutes, allowing the steam to penetrate the surface of your face. Then, wipe away the moisture on your face with your towel and, using your fingertips, gently apply a thin layer of the oatmeal paste all over your face. Wait for the oatmeal to dry and harden, a process that usually takes between ten and fifteen minutes; then wipe it away with a damp, lukewarm washcloth. Pat your face dry, and enjoy the results of your exquisite homemade skin treatment.

Home theater installation don t do it yourself

As home theaters increase in popularity, many people are trying to design and layout their rooms on their own with little guidance. Where this can save you money initially, it will inevitably cause heartache and money down the line. Home theater installation requires not only someone with technical know how and an eye for room layout. It also takes an audio expert who knows both what equipment is available and what limitations a room may have. Too often people end up with a custom home theater system that does not fit their home or needs because they were unskilled in matching speakers and components with the layout and acoustics of a home. A professional home theater installer is trained in all of these areas and can help ensure that the money invested in a home theater will be money well spent.

When looking for a custom home theater installer, find a person or team that is skilled in home theater design and that they are knowledgeable of all of the equipment options which could help transform a basic home theater system into a custom work of entertainment technology. Here are a few things that you should keep in mind when shopping around for an installer.

Business Focus

When choosing a home theater installer, make sure that you find someone who knows audio and visual equipment inside and out. Look at the nature of the installer’s business. Do they have a primary focus on electronics and home theater entertainment or is their installation service just an added service provided for buying a big-screen television or stereo system from their electronics department? Do they have dedicated installers who do A/V and home theater design as their primary job function or will the installer be an hourly employee who received a basic training course? Take the time to make sure that the person who will be installing your custom home theater layout has both experience with the task and is highly knowledgeable of what it takes to get great picture and sound out of a home theater setup.

Options Available

Different installation companies will have varying options and components available for purchase. Talk to someone at the store and see exactly what is available to you and how you can maximize the enjoyment that you’ll get from your new system. If possible, bring photographs of the room or rooms that you’ll be installing the home theater system in if they are unable to come to the house directly. This way, the designer can see exactly what they’ll have to work with and how much space will be available for speakers and other components. Help them to get a feel for exactly the sort of custom home theatre system that you want, and see whether they’ll be able to create one that meets your specific needs. Be sure to let them know of any special items that you want in the package, such as an HD DVD player, digital video recorder, Blu Ray player, or any other items that might not be included in a standard custom home theater design.

Cost and Value

Research component pricing before you go out looking for a home theater installer, making sure that you have an idea of any specific equipment that you are wanting and how much they are likely to cost. Shop around at different stores, seeing how much each will charge for the custom home theatre system that you want including the price of installation. If you have a budget for how much you want to spend on your home theater layout then try to stay within that budget. A good installer will be able to recommend equipment that may be equal in quality but cost less. Compare the quotes that you receive so that you’ll know which business is offering you the best value for your money. After all, you are the one who’s going to have to use the resulting home theater system, so be sure that above all else you end up with a system that you enjoy and that works well.

Break in with fillers the best market for new writers

Interested in breaking into writing or breaking into a new area? You can’t go past writing fillers. Fillers are one of the most overlooked opportunities in the freelance writing world and offer one of the best opportunities for new writers.

Fillers Are In Demand

I’ve spoken to hundreds of editors and been told over and over again that fillers are the one thing they never get enough of. Most publications tend to publish more freelance fillers than they do freelance articles. Yet, they often receive 100 times more articles than fillers.

This is a gap in the freelance market that you can take advantage of.

Fillers are a Great Place to Get Started

Many publications are careful about publishing feature articles from writers they don’t know. Even if your article is good, an editor might decide not to publish you because they don’t know you as a writer. This is especially true if you don’t have a lot of experience or any clips.

But even without experience or clips, most editors will consider a filler. In fact, many editors treat writing fillers as the testing ground to see if a writer can be relied on to write feature articles.

Here’s what one editor had to say about fillers:

“One of the best ways to break in is to write fillers. It gives me a chance to start to build a relationship with a writer and see that I can trust them. Of all the freelancers I work with, over half started out writing fillers.” - Margaret, Magazine Editor

So not only can writing fillers get you some clips, it also has the potential to turn into a long-term writing opportunity. Consider fillers a stepping stone to much bigger things.

The Smart Way to Write on Spec

Fillers are almost always submitted on spec. This means that you avoid the problem of having to query the publication and sell yourself as a writer, because your filler is doing the work for you and showing the editor your writing skill.

The big argument against writing on spec is that you spend your time writing pieces that might never sell. Fillers reduce this problem because they are short and take less time to write. So even if your filler doesn’t sell, you haven’t wasted as much time as you would have on a longer feature article. Fillers are also more flexible, with few publications having set guidelines for fillers. This means that a filler will often be suitable for more than market. So if it gets rejected once, it’s not a waste of time. You can just send it to a new market, often without having to make any changes.

Fillers Rely on Information, Not Writer Qualifications

Fillers usually rely on information, not on the writer’s qualifications.

This means that you don’t have to sell yourself when you submit fillers. Instead, the information you put in the filler sells it for you.

This makes fillers a perfect option for writers lacking the experience or clips to sell themselves to an editor.

You Can Write a Lot of Them

Since fillers are short, you can write a lot of them and submit a lot of them. You could literally have hundreds of pieces out in the market for consideration in a short time. And if you write them well, you could have a lot of them published in a very short time. That means you can build a list of clips fast.

And one other benefit is that magazines don’t have as limited a space for fillers as they do for feature articles. So if your filler gets accepted, it’s likely to get published fast. The same isn’t true for feature articles, where an accepted article will often be scheduled for an issue a year or two away.

That’s one more good reason why fillers are a great way to build clips fast. Once you’ve got the clips, then you have a few more options. Until then, fillers are a great place to start.

And one final tip. Once you have the clips and start moving into feature articles, don’t forget about fillers. As you’re researching a feature, take note of interesting facts, trivia, or anecdotes you come across. These can make fillers and be an added bonus, bringing in some extra cash and some extra clips.

How is bulk domain name registration done it just depends

With the popularity of the internet in business today, it is not uncommon for a company to register more than one domain at a time. This allows the company to bring users to their site or sites from a number of angles. Various domains can be used for branches of the business, to vary the content, or simply as a way to get a bigger piece of the internet pie. Registering all of your domain names at the same time will often get you a discount from your registrar. If you have 100, 200, or even 500 domains to register, though, it is obviously easier to register all of them at once. So how is bulk domain name registration done? It depends on the company you use to some degree, but there are a couple of more popular methods of getting your bulk domain registration completed.

Obviously it would be a colossal time waster if you had to type in 500 separate domain names, check their availability in each suffix, and then register the ones you can find and want. With that in mind, many companies that offer bulk domain name registration offer their own interfaces for completing the process. So how is bulk domain name registration done by these companies? It is actually pretty simple from your end. First of all, there will be some sort of text box that asks for you to list the domain names you want. Most of the time, you will not even need to supply the suffix you want. Once you have pasted or typed them all into the box, you select the suffixes you want to check, and click a button. Your list comes back with what is available and immediately you can choose whether or not you want to register what is available and for how long. Then you simply give your credit card information and the domains are all yours. The entire process can be completed in a matter of minutes.

Not every company, obviously, uses the exact same features for bulk email registration. So how is bulk domain name registration done by other companies? The best method is where the company actually does all the work for you. Once your IT department or whomever you have working your domain name lists comes up with their choices, you can fax a hard copy or email an electronic copy of the list. The company will research the domain names for you and come back to you with a price and a list of what is available in what suffixes. You give the thumbs up or make the adjustments you want and they will do everything else for you. Before you know it, you are all over the web with your hundreds of domains making it easier for customers and clients to find you.

If you want to save money, then knowing the answer to the question: how is bulk domain name registration done, will allow you to decide what works best for you. Your comfort with interfaces or desire to do more or less of the work on your own is the best indicator of what type of service you should use. Coupled with price, it just takes a little research to find out which company you should use to get your bulk domain registrations done efficiently.

New age spirituality morning has been all night coming part 47

It is generally difficult not to be optimistic, happy and peaceful when I’m with Gideon. And, with the added enjoyment of Marla’s presence, the evening promised to be, in a manner of speaking, “out of this world.” I was anxious to ask Marla questions, to learn what she was doing, to know more about her work. When we said good - bye many years ago, I knew I would see her again, but now I wondered if she knew of the trials I had endured since then.

As if in answer to my unspoken questions, Marla said,“Of course I know what you’ve been going through, John. I don’t understand why you insist on using the word ‘trials’ to describe your journey. Yes, I’m aware of the passing of your wife, the loss of many of those you called friends, the situations where family members turned against you and the perpetual struggle to earn a living for you and your children. I also know of those lonely moments when you cried out to God for help. At dinner we’ll probably touch on some of these matters. Also, you’ll probably see some of our old friends, as we told a few folks that we would be there this evening. However, for now, let’s just enjoy the ride. We’re almost ready for the trans-dimensional shift.”

Before I could say anything, the sound of the motor was replaced by an odd clicking as if someone had suddenly taken possession of the car and were adjusting its instruments. Without warning, there was a dazzling flash of light, and for a moment I felt as if suspended in time and space. I was sure that I was having a lucid dream and that when I woke up, I’d be in my bed. But this wasn’t a dream. Gideon made sure I knew that this was real by saying, “You are really experiencing this, John. We’ll be there soon.”

Soccer cleats to stud or not to stud

Soccer boots, only correctly called cleats when they have the ground gripping teeth on the bottom of the shoe, have always been fodder for debate, among those who believe the screw in stud to be better than the molded teeth for traction or reliability. Many of the modern changes to soccer boots has come more from concerned parents, demanding the safest footwear for their young players, than it has from professional players, as might be believed.

There are basically three different types of soccer boots available, those being molded cleats, screw in studs, and these called 'astros' which are designed especially for use on astro turf. A good molded cleat is probably the best beginner boot, if play is to be on grass. They are easy to care for, and hitting them against each other or a wall will knock off most muddy, grassy build-up. Other than that, a rinse with warm water, and allowing them to thoroughly dry before wearing again will provide for about all the care these durable cleats will need.

If finances allow, it is wise to have two pairs of these soccer cleats for your young player, to insure one is thoroughly dry before re-wearing it. In the case of tournaments, where 3 or more games are played in a singe weekend, it is a great relief for those hard working feet to have fresh boots to put on. It is wise to note here that soccer slides, or sandals, are a very important item in the soccer bag. If the cleats are worn on hard surfaces for any length, the cleats will wear or break off much quicker than normal field use would cause.

When your player is ready to try screw in studs make certain they are fully prepared for the additional maintaince these boots will typically require. The simple cleaning of them is much the same as other molded boots, however, the screw in studs, or cleats, is where the care of these soccer boots makes a real difference in the performance they will afford the player.

The studs are available in plastic or metal, and it may be wise to determine which is allowed on your field, particularly if it is for youth play, prior to making your choice. It is possible that the sanctioning body at your playing fields may not allow screw in studs at all.

After you have made the decision to purchase soccer cleats with screw in studs, and have determined that the playing fields in your area do allow them, go to a sporting goods store that knows soccer, and has sales associates who will take the time to ensure your player gets a good, snug fit. This would be true even in the molded cleats, of course. Make certain the studs are screwed in tightly, and always carry extra studs in the soccer bag.

Inspecting the studs as the cleats are cleaned and put away after a match will prove wise, and help prevent a lost stud during a game. Never continue to play with a missing stud, it is harmful to the overall stability of the player, and can easily distort the hole so a new stud may not fit properly when replacing it is finally attempted. At first break in the game, replace the missing stud.

Astros are easy to care for, and can be used on grassy or hard surfaces. Basic cleaning is similar to the molded cleats.

Why use priceline. com

:
Rick Archer sat down with Don Nadeau, the president of BidonTravel. com, which provides Priceline bidding advice.

RA: Why would anyone want to use Priceline?

DN: You'll save a lot of money.

RA: Yes, but who wants to get up in time for a 6:00 a. m. flight? You can't pick your departure times or airline or anything like that.

DN: Well, just use Priceline for air tickets when you're going to Australia or traveling at the last minute. You'll save hundreds of dollars. When you can plan your U. S. travel well in advance, Priceline may not be your best bet.

But always bid on Priceline hotels. That's easy and you don't have to get up at 4:00 a. m.

RA: Sure, but I don't want to stay in some crummy place.

DN: No, no, no. Bid for three or four-star hotels. You pick the quality.

You'll end up at a Hyatt, Hilton, Holiday Inn Crown Plaza, Sheraton, Marriott, or Doubletree-someplace like these.

And, over a few days, you'll save hundreds of dollars.

In fact, I predict you'll save on average at least $100 a night over the prices you get on Expedia, Hotels. com, or similar discount hotel sites. Priceline hotel savings average some 40 percent over these sites.

RA: What about location?

DN: You pick that, too.

In the Orlando area, you have a choice of 11 neighborhoods, in or near San Jose, eight.

RA: So you can't pick a specific hotel, just a general neighborhood?

DN: That's right.

That's why hotels use Priceline to sell excess inventory at prices they don't want their regular customers to find out about.

RA: So would it be correct to assume that if there's a big event going on in the area and hotels are heavily booked, rooms won't be available through Priceline?

DN: Actually not.

Groups can book large blocks of rooms at hotels, then find out not as many are traveling, and release some rooms back to hotels. I once got a Priceline discount at the headquarters hotel of a huge medical convention at the last minute.

Priceline tells you if rooms are available before you bid.

RA: How do I know what to bid?

I have an entire site devoted to that! Go to the Priceline Hotels section of BidOnTravel. com.

RA: Just give me three main tips.

DN: Okay. First, bid on three or four-star hotels. That's where the real savings are.

Second, look up the best prices for the star quality and neighborhood you want on a site like Hotels. com. Knowledge is power, and that way you won't overbid.

Third, find out what Hotwire. com charges.

Hotwire is Priceline's main competitor in the 'you don't find out the name of your hotel until you pay category,' and it's prices are usually a bit higher than Priceline's.

Therefore, bid 10 - 20 percent below Hotwire's price.

See BidonTravel. com, though, if you want to refine this process to maximize your savings.

RA: What if I still overpay?

DN: Priceline has a best price guarantee.

If you book a room on Priceline, and then find a lower price on another website for the same type of room at the same hotel or resort on the same dates, Priceline will refund you the difference. There's some small print, such as "this rate has to be available to the general public and you have to make your claim within 24 hours of booking," but you really can't lose.

RA: There must be some drawbacks to using Priceline for hotels.

DN: There are.

Most importantly, you'll get no refund if you cancel. You won't be able to change dates.

Also, you'll usually end up with a standard room. At some hotels, these may not be large enough for more than two people.

RA: What about smoking or nonsmoking?

DN: This is never absolutely guaranteed regardless of where you book.

When using Priceline or other online sites, I usually call the hotel directly to make sure it has me on its nonsmoking list. I also try not to show up too late, when the hotel may have run out of certain types of rooms.

RA: Thanks. I'll try bidding next time after reading the tips on your site.

Spirituality information - john harricharan s interview with terri marie q6

Terri Marie: And we all can help each other. I loved your analogy of the book and the pages and time. I -- that really made it clear that we could be doing many-many other things with our souls that we’re not aware of in our normal consciousness, and when we go through a different consciousness we can find that. Do you -- I know from your best selling “Morning has All Night Been Coming,” but also especially your first one in the series, “When you can walk on water and take the boat.” Right, that you talk about guides, can you talk about the role of guides in our life. Do we all have them? How do we connect with them? Tell me what your feelings are on that John?

John Harricharan: I -- if I were to be very -- to look at it from an empirical standpoint. I would have to say, that there is absolutely no reason why I should be existing in earth life today, and speaking with you, Vish or anybody else. I should have been gone a long time ago, because there were so many things that occurred that seemed dangerous, that could have ended my life.

There were so many decisions that were made seemingly for me by another part of me or some area that I couldn’t understand that led me into certain things that made me who I’m today. After I look at all of these things, and I did quiet some studies on it, I understood that yes, there are angels, there are other beings, they are what some of us have called energy essence personalities. They could be others we have met in other times, and other places, alternate lifetimes. or they could be some that we have never met in the physical form. And they aren’t there to serve us, but to help us just as we are here to help each other, to help one another get on and grow in life.

And so I do believe, there are invisible forces and beings that guide me and they aren’t there like servants to serve me, but they are there as great friends and they do not interfere in my life except on real emergency situations.

They are there to help me if I ask them and request their help. They cannot interfere in our freewill and our growth either. So we have to request this help and we do many times by going into the silence or through prayer or by getting really quiet and feeling the messages coming from them. And this way being impelled to do the things that would take us in the right directions, they may contact us in dreams. They might do it just through a little incident and I have so many of those, which I will share when we get into the Simplicity site where I will show people how to be aware of this science. How to contact? Or be in contact with the energy essence personalities that are there to help us. And who watch over us and who guide us. Many times we write books, people ask me if my books were channeled.

No, the only channel I deal with, are those on the television. My books were not channeled, but what occurred was I had the feeling that the books were writing me. Now, if you want to call that channeling, that’s fine. I think we can call it anything we want, but what occurred was a part of me stepped aside, the part which was doubt and the part which would say no, this isn’t possible, and the story started to write itself through me. Where did it come from? Well, we need a few days to discuss that.

An overview of student loan debt consolidation

:
A student loan debt consolidation loan allows you to combine your federal student loans into a single loan with one monthly payment. The repayments of a student loan debt consolidation loan can be significantly lower than the payment required under the standard 10-year repayment option. Under the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program, banks, secondary markets, credit unions, and other lenders provide the student loan debt consolidation loan. Under the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program, the federal government provides the student loan debt consolidation loan.

Most federal education loans are eligible for inclusion in a student loan debt consolidation loan, including subsidized and unsubsidized Direct and FFEL Stafford Loans, SLS, Federal Perkins Loans, Federal Nursing Loans, and Health Education Assistance Loans. However, private education loans are not eligible for inclusion in a student loan debt consolidation loan.

To find out which loans can be included in a student loan debt consolidation loan contact the Direct Loan Origination Center's Consolidation Department if you’re applying for a direct student loan debt consolidation loan. Contact a participating FFEL lender if you’re applying for a FFEL student loan debt consolidation loan.

It is worth noting that you are still eligible for a student loan debt consolidation loan after you graduate, leave school, or drop below half-time enrollment. You can also get a student loan debt consolidation loan while you're in school. You must, however, be attending at least half time and have at least one Direct Loan or FFEL in an ‘in-school period’ which generally means that you have been continuously enrolled at least half time since the loan was disbursed. There are a number of conditions that need to be met for you to qualify for a student loan debt consolidation loan, especially if you are delinquent or in default and your loan holder will be able to give you all the necessary information.

If the same holder holds all the FFEL loans you want to consolidate, you must obtain the student loan debt consolidation loan from that holder, unless you haven't been able to get a loan with income-sensitive repayment terms that are acceptable to you. To be eligible for a William D. Ford direct student loan debt consolidation loan, you must have either a direct Stafford subsidized or unsubsidized loan that will be included in the student loan debt consolidation loan or have at least one Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) program Stafford subsidized or unsubsidized loan.

Jewelry becomes an instant classic

Fine jewelry is the perfect way to update and accessorize this season's fashions. "Eyelet dresses, Edwardian-inspired blouses and white clothing, all hot trends this season, provide the perfect backdrop for fine jewelry," says Helena Krodel, spokesperson for Jewelry Information Center. Regardless of your style or budget, there is a piece of innovative or soul-proclaiming fine jewelry to perfectly suit you.

Marvelous Medallions

Medallions will be on the top of shoppers' lists. Look for versions with floral motifs, intricate carvings, filigree work or personal engravings. Grand-scale medallions pair well with long thick chain-link necklaces in gold, platinum or sterling silver. More petite medallions look fresh suspended from brightly colored gemstone necklaces, chains set with diamonds, "diamonds by the yard" or a strand of pearls а la Chanel.

One, Two, Three's a Charm

Charms are back. Women may choose sweet subtle trinkets in lieu of bracelets chock-full of hearts and stars. New styles include tiny treasures hung from hoop earrings; charms clustered on top of rings; stationed charm necklaces with unmatched charms; and very long chain-link necklaces with one, two or three charms that fall far into the dйcolletage.

Earring Extravaganza

A sprawling array of important earrings graced the red carpet this season. For spring, the earring evolution has come full circle featuring chandeliers, long linears, drops, "threaders" and ear-hugging versions. Although all of these variations will have a place amidst the fashions this season, the newest style on the ear frontier is the embellished hoop with charms.

Grab for the Ring

The fascination with cocktail rings continues, focusing on cabochon-cut or seemingly uncut gemstones. Designers are using antique-looking or organic gemstones, rose-cut diamonds (or gemstones) and crystallike formations. More traditional styles still look fabulous when they feature richly saturated gemstones and special metalsmithing techniques. Also look for colored gemstones in pink and green including pink sapphire, pink and green tourmaline, peridot and tsavorite (green garnet).

Off the Cuff

In warmer weather, sleeves get cropped and skin is exposed, leaving room for cuffs to be stacked up the arm. Some standout styles include bracelets that expose some skin; use organic materials like wood, mother-of-pearl, shell and moonstone; have strong details like grommets in gold; feature feminine flower carvings; or use special materials like platinum and diamonds, which are ideal for glitzy occasions.
